Evangelizers

Our Congregation unites members to live together as one missionary body. Among those people who are more abandoned, we give special attention to the poor, the deprived and the oppressed. Evangelization is the very reason why we exist in the Church. We Redemptorists have the duty of preaching the Gospel explicitly, and showing solidarity with the poor by promoting their fundamental rights to justice and freedom.

St. Alphonsus Liguori

Following in the footsteps of St. Alphonsus Liguori, the founder of the Redemptorists, our ministries must be performed through simple language, easily understood, attentive to people and their situations, capable of using the power of love and centrality of conscience.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help

In 1866, Pope Leo IX commissioned the Redemptorists to place the Icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in San Alfonso Church in Rome and to:
“Make her known throughout the world.”
